Maria Thacker-Goethe is the President and CEO of Georgia Bio, a nonprofit organization representing Georgia’s life sciences sector. With over 18 years of experience in nonprofit management, she is known for her strategic visioning and alliance building. Maria also leads the Georgia BioEd Institute and was the founding CEO of the Center for Global Health Innovation. She has been recognized as one of Georgia Trend magazine’s “100 Most Influential Georgians” in 2023. Under her leadership, Georgia Bio has significantly increased its network and impact, supporting numerous jobs and contributing substantially to the state’s economy.
